Characters
These “characters” are avatar templates I created for Pluto VR’s avatar creation app, “Quasar”. Each template is based on the average appearance of individuals from a particular macroregion of the world. The average appearance was approximated by compositing photos of real individuals from each macroregion, averaged together, then sculpted in a semi-stylized art style in Mudbox. I also authored 50+ FACS blendshape channels for full facial articulation.
Left to right: Personal project “The Architect”; Cleopatra, Hitler and Mozart statues were created for the PC/iOS game République. Each of the statues had a 1-day time limit, hi-res was baked to 2D cards as the game cameras were in fixed positions.
Note: I really don’t want to have a statue of Hitler on my portfolio but it was one of the better sculpts in the series.
